This contemporary design developed as I started the carving process without a clear understanding of what the piece would look like. In that sense the carving represents the idea of starting a journey without a clear destination in mind! 

   This peice is carved from the rib bone of a Steller's Sea cow and it is source from the Aluetian Islands. The peice has incredible colour and texture that will deepen as the design is worn. 

All the designs include an adjustable waxed polyester cord along with cards that explain the meaning of the design and the background of the material. She measures 45mm by 29mm.
