Something new from something old! This double koru design is carved from a beautiful piece of Woolly Mammoth ivory. This material is special because of its age, patterning and feel. These animals became extinct 1000s of years ago and the material reflects this aging! It’s difficult to work, smells horrible and flexes while you sand, but I love the imperfection of it! The design reflects spiritual connection and relationship. She measures 70mm x 40mm and comes with cards explaining the meaning and material.
