This design is a departure for me in how I typically carve a koru or fern form. I went with a leaf idea and carved the koru as a negative space within the form. The korus represent the search for knowledge, spiritual growth and our path in life. There is a stylised hand form at the top of the design and it reflects staying strong on the wandering path of life. She measures 11.5cm x 3.2cm and there is some cool speckling in the material.
