Spiritual Connection: Wooly Mammoth Ivory

This contemporary double design reflects connection and relationship between people. This form is based on a fern bud looping back on itself to show the connection between two people. The carving is from Wooly Mammoth ivory and it has stunning colour and texture. This ancient material fickle to work but the results are stunning! I love that the material has a second life and develops a stunning patina as it is worn. The design measures 72mm x 40mm and is a one off piece.
